Ms. Tran Nhi Bach Van – Dak Nong Aspiring Global Geopark (Vietnam) and Ms. Parichat Kruainok – Khorat Geopark (Thailand) honorably received Mentorship and Knowledge Exchange opportunity to visit Arouca UNESCO Global Geopark in Portugal between 18 and 28th November 2019 as part of new UNESCO initiative.
Each year, UNESCO is made aware of particular UNESCO Global Geopark projects from less well developed regions of the world that require assistance in the field to enable them to complete the application process. To fulfill this need, UNESCO Natural Sciences Sector launched UNESCO GLOBAL GEOPARKS MENTORSHIP AND KNOWLEDGE EXCHANGE PROGRAMME during the International Geoscience Programme open session on the 21st February 2019.
This was the good opportunity for Dak Nong Geopark to gain knowledge and capacity in developing the Geopark as well as strengthening the relationship between GGN members.
