In order to promote the youth’s enthusiasm, positivity and creativity in supporting community development, the Dak Nong UNESCO Global Geopark Management Board has established a volunteering network, who are from 15 to 35 and live in the boundary of the geopark.
As geopark’s volunteers, the young people will have the opportunity to periodically participate in training courses to raise awareness on issues such as heritage conservation, sustainable tourism development, climate change, etc. At the same time, they will be fully equipped with knowledge and social skills to become the Ambassadors of Dak Nong UNESCO Global Geopark in their community.
The volunteer works include: local tour guides, assisting locals in developing tourism products, organizing events, etc. local… These activities not only bring practical benefits to volunteers in creating new career opportunities but also stimulate the deep participation of the local community.
Currently, the volunteering network of Dak Nong UNESCO Global Geopark has 30 members.
