* This project won the Special Prize at provincial level of the 16th Nationwide Creative Contest for Teens, 2019 – 2020. Project owners: Hoàng Ngọc Châu (Leader); Đinh Thái Hải Lý; Phạm Thanh Hiền; Võ Thị Hồng; Vũ Duy Đạt. All in Class 11C1, Krông Nô High School.

The outcomes of this project include:

  1. A simulation model of Dak Nong UNESCO Global Geopark from nature-friendly materials;
  2. Bilingual (Vietnamese – English) comics on M’nong people’s legends in 2 versions: Chipi (for children) and illustrated comics (for adults);
  3. Drawing pictures of Dak Nong UGGp’s geosites on papers and on volcanic stones

This project aims to promote the beauty of Dak Nong UNESCO Global Geopark to locals and visitors, especially to students in school learning in an attracting and effective way.

Bilingual (Vietnamese – English) comics on M’nong people legends

Most legends and stories about the process of geosite formation in Dak Nong UNESCO Global Geopark are known only to the village elders, the younger generation is almost unknown. Therefore, with the desire to preserve and help the youth gets access to these legends in an interesting way, the project has collected and complied geosite legends and turned them into bilingual comics (Vietnamese – English).
