In this year’s spreading of covid-19 pandemic situation, Dak Nong UNESCO Global Geopark has implemented a new way of celebrating the World Cleanup Day. On its fanpage, the Geopark has organized a mini game “Environmental messages through photos” to involve the followers to introduce their own environmental-friendly behaviors. It could be photos of 3-R products, of waste sorting, etc which illustrates the participants’ green lifestyle. This contest has attracted more than 30 photos from its fanpage followers.
In addition, the geopark has also encouraged its community from 6 districts within the territory to clean up their surrounding in accordance with local pandemic restrictions. Though only one district could satisfy the health conditions to gather for the cleanup, other district authorities have also implemented the activity of educating local on waste sorting on social media.
Especially, these district authorities have issued plans to hold a campaign of collecting household hazard waste at proper time till the end of this year, depending on the pandemic situation and restrictions.
