From May 23-25, the Vietnam Specialized Sub-Committee on UNESCO Global Geopark in collaboration with the Cao Bang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Non Nuoc Cao Bang UGGp Management Body) organized an annual conference of the Subcommittee at Kolia eco-tourism, Nguyen Binh district, Cao Bang province.
Attendants in the Conference were representatives of the National Committee of UNESCO Vietnam Mr. Pham Vinh Quang, General Secretary of the National Committee of UNESCO Vietnam, Director of Cultural Foreign Affairs Department and UNESCO (Ministry of Foreign Affairs), Specialized Sub-Committee on Vietnam UGGp, UNESCO consultant Mr. Guy Martini, Senior Advisor, Chairman of the UNESCO Global Park Council; Mr. Trinh Hai Son, Director of the Institute of Geology and Minerals, Head of the UGGP Specialist Sub -Committee and other UNESCO Global Geopark Parks including representatives of Dong Van Stone Plateau UGGp (Ha Giang), Non Nuoc Cao Bang UGGp, Dak Nong UGGp and Lang Son UGGp.
Representatives from Dak Nong UGGp are leaders and specialized members of Dak Nong Geological Park Management Body.
On this occasion, the Management body of Dong Van Stone Plateau UGGp (Ha Giang), Cao Bang, Lang Son signed a Memorandum of Understanding among the UGGps in Northern Vietnam.
Within the framework of Conference, there are also field trips activities on 03 routes of Non Nuoc Cao Bang UGGp (from 23-25 May) and a seminar to improve the capacity of the Vietnam UGGp network on May 26th
and the first 3 months in 2022.
