On the afternoon of July 19, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lang Son province coordinated with the Sub-committee for Viet Nam UNESCO Global Geopark (Vietnam National Commission for UNESCO) to organize the Seminar of Geopark Management in Vietnam in the new situation.

There were representatives of the Vietnam National Commission for UNESCO; Vietnam Institute of Geosciences and Minerals; Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Geopark Management Board of Dak Nong, Cao Bang, Ha Giang, Lang Son provinces and experts and scientists participating in the Seminar. The Seminar was organized to evaluate the management apparatus, management work, and propose some solutions towards building a unified and effective UNESCO Global Geoparks management model in Vietnam to contribute to conserve and promote various types of heritage, to develop, manage and operate geoparks better and better.
The Seminar contributed to strengthen the connection between members of the Vietnam Global Geopark Network, share experiences, step by step build, develop and effectively manage geoparks. This is also an opportunity for Lang Son province to achieve valuable experiences of other provinces in the construction and development of geoparks, towards the designation of UNESCO Global Geopark.

Also in the series of events, the Lang Son Geopark Management Board and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized to visit and experience 4 tour routes in the Lang Son Geopark area for the representatives.
