In order to widely introduce and promote the unique geo-heritage of Dak Nong UNESCO Global Geopark, recently, the Geopark Management Board has supported the Vietnam Television Station’s film crew to make the series of science documentaries about geological sites within the Geopark’s area.
After a period of recording and editing content with the scientific advice of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Tan Van – Former Director of the Vietnam Institute of Geosciences and Minerals, Head of the Sub-committee on Vietnam UNESCO Global Geoparks, the 5 episode series of scientific documentaries “Geoheritage of Dak Nong” has been broadcast on VTV2 channel.
The content revolves around the main geoheritages of Dak Nong UNESCO Global Geopark, which are volcanoes, lava fields, lava-tube cave system and waterfalls. In addition to realistic, multi-angle shots at heritage sites, the documentary also has many graphic designs that simulate and explain the mechanism of volcanic eruption, lava tube cave formation, … in a simple and understandable way.

This series hopes to bring a deeper sense of the Earth’s treasures on Dak Nong UNESCO Global Geopark closer to locals and visitors.
